Poltrona Frau In Motion has developed its expertise across multiple sectors, starting with automotive. In 1985, Poltrona Frau established Frau Car, a dedicated division later renamed Poltrona Frau In Motion. Its first project was for the Lancia Thema 8.32, powered by a Ferrari engine: the beginning of a journey that would lead the company to collaborate with some of the most prestigious national and international brands.
But its expertise extends beyond the road. As early as 1930, Poltrona Frau was creating first-class interiors for luxury ocean liners such as the Rex and the Conte Rosso, developing specific know-how in the nautical sector that today ranges from yacht pilot houses to the interiors of Riva motorboats.
Aviation is another important area of expertise. In 1989, Poltrona Frau completed its first interior for a Mitsubishi Diamond twin-jet aircraft for an air taxi company, followed by numerous commissions for private clients and airlines. The company has also worked on railway projects, including the first-class interiors of Italo high-speed trains.
