The Challenge: To interpret the unique character of the Ducati XDiavel: a model that combines the relaxed comfort of a cruiser with Ducati’s performance and sporting DNA. The aim was to create a highly distinctive, customisable leather upholstery solution capable of enhancing the personality of the bike.
The Response: Poltrona Frau In Motion created a special saddle in soft Pelle Frau® leather, featuring a “Black on Black” design in which glossy and matt surfaces alternate to emphasise the lines of the motorcycle. This choice reinforces the sporty allure of the vehicle and is also echoed in the coordinated jet helmet, available to order with the bike.
The saddle is available in five exclusive colours: Rosso Siam, Steel Blue, Cemento, India and Selva. Its design is completed by an X-shaped pattern, engraved through a sophisticated laser process: a graphic detail that recalls the name of the model and strengthens its identity.
In addition to the colour options, the Ducati XDiavel can be personalised with a wider comfort saddle and a backrest, also in Pelle Frau®, designed for two-up travel without compromising on comfort or style. The 500 Ducati enthusiasts who chose the XDiavel Nera also received an exclusive key ring and document holder, crafted in Pelle Frau® leather in the same colour selected for the saddle.
The Result: The Ducati XDiavel Nera project shows how materials, innovation and craftsmanship can turn a technical component into a distinctive element of the riding experience.
