The Challenge: To bring an exceptional level of personalisation to 106 unique cars, combining a highly artisanal approach with the consistency, precision and quality standards required by the automotive industry.

The Response: Poltrona Frau In Motion worked closely with McLaren throughout the design, development and industrialisation of the interiors, combining advanced manufacturing expertise with its distinctive know-how in fine craftsmanship.

The three-seat cabin layout, inspired by racing car architecture, features a centrally positioned driver’s seat with the passenger seats integrated into the car structure.

Twenty-four original artworks were developed for the central seat panels, using laser perforation, CNC stitching and embroidery. Every detail was carefully considered, from the wax-finished edges of the driver’s seat to the use of contrasting colours, reflecting the same meticulous attention usually reserved for bespoke craftsmanship.

The Result: A project in which extreme personalisation meets industrial excellence. The collaboration between McLaren and Poltrona Frau In Motion generated new technological, aesthetic and manufacturing solutions, while preserving the exclusivity and craftsmanship that define each individual car.
